I belong to this yahoo group fellowship born out of my former teenage fellowship from where we grew up way back in Benin City, Nigeria. Its called Youth Vessels of Christ Fellowship (YVC). At the moment though, we are all in diaspora, so we started what we call "YVC online" We currently have had fresh converts join our group, and also have welcomed believers join our group so we are growing. I invite you to join if you can. Its interesting, we all write in about any issue and trash them together as a family. For a couple of days now, we have been dealing with the issue of tithe, and one of our online cordinators insists that tithe is an old testament ordinance that should not be in practice today. There were many other opinions, and I think because of his influence in the group most members were starting to waiver between to tithe, or not to tithe.
Down below was my personal contribution and the last point standing as we speak. I was responding to a brother that said; he believes in the benefit of tithing, but does not believe that you're cursed if you dont tithe! I need your personal opinion as well. Please feel free to say what you believe about tithing after going through this post. Together, let us find the truth about this ancient ordinance, and stay with it!!!
MY CONTRIBUTION
Well...my two brothers! If one doesnt get the benefits of tithe, which is open heavens, and an overflow...what does one get? I believe that if you dont tithe, you are a robber, period! Remember, a thief is better than a robber, cos a thief steals to eat, the bible says he's punished only if he's caught! But a robber is dangerously armed...and many people are robbing God as we speak..at gun point...how rude can that be? Verry.
So pls lets not just look at our comfort, lets look at scripture... Melchizedek King of Salem has no beginning, and no end, just like Jesus. He is Christ himself...no beginning no ending, and so is the ordinance of tithe.

JUNE: ITS JUBILEE!
Its good to remember that we are in a season of JUBILEE!!! Its time to believe God for the impossible! He is right now, at this season, restoring the fortunes of His people, and bringing them new hope, new strength, and fresh harvest! Isaiah 51:3. Its His heart beat that all may have total freedom from every kind of oppression of the enemy!

The Rainbow as we know is a great sign of God's covenant to preserve his people.We are entering in this four months to the Hebrewic end of year, into a season of restoration. The spirit of Jubilee shall begin to separate and increase His people! The angel of the Lord shall begin to mark people's houses for increase and for separation.
I suggest at this point, you go and buy a Tambourine if you do not have one...for a season of celebration and rejoicing is come upon you! The blessings of three years, shall come to you in four months! Laughter is coming into your house! In this four months...prepare youself for the days of Favour is here! Prepare! For God is about to visit you! Prepare yourself for your Harvest is here! As you go, you will encounter diverse miracles and breakthroughs! Shout...its JUBILEE TIME!
Read the key scriptures to your Jubilee... Isaiah 51:3..and
Isaiah 32:15-18. Meditate on these scriptures and pray with them.
Be very expectant...GOD IS HERE!
Receive the grace for complete harvest in every area of your life now, IJN!

The Holy Ghost
The Holy Spirit is the next best thing to happen
to u after ur salvation. Salvation gives u a place
in God, but the Holy Spirit gives u value with God.
U cant operate heavenly wisdom and not make earthly impact.
Common sense can only produce common results.
what u've done, cannot stop what u can do!
If u can keep ur head and ur heart going in the right
direction, u will not have to worry about ur feet,
ur whole body will follow!

THE DEER
How many of us have heard the story of the deer? Or maybe you have read the story of the Deer? Ok, let me make it short; you must have heard David say; "As the Deer panteth for the water, so my soul longeth after thee?"
My point is that the Deer is an animal with a scent that can shame all the Diors, Burberrys, Channels, and Paco Rabannes of this world. The bad part there is that it has to live in the jungle with all kinds of connoisseurs. You know, those that love it for its comforting scent, and those that love it for its distracting scent...finally..those that love its scent because it announces the word PREY!
This very factor has our sweet deer always under pressure. It runs from every unusual movement towards him and often crys wolf because of tension. This is for the sole reason that some particular animals like it with all the works, smell, flesh, bone, blood! Yuk!!
Now this got the Deer always trying to cover its smelly tracks by staying close to water, as its smell more than anything else, gives it away to its pursuers. In other words, there is a very strong and life threatening reason why the Deer pants after the waters!
That reason is good old plain SAFETY. The Deer loves its life. If it has to live to fulfil the multiplication mandate, then it has to keep safe. If it has to fulfil purpose, then it has to keep safe. The Deer knows that you dont fulfil purpose in a Wolf's belly..you cant fulfil purpose hanging from the teeth of a lion. So, it keeps close to water!
Why water? You may ask...water is the only element that conceals the smell of the Deer, thereby covering its tracks from the sniffings of its various enemies in the jungle! How does he achieve this? By jumping into the closest water he can find. When his enemy is in hot pursuit...you see the Deer running like he's about to win a price...seeking for the closest water point...river, or pool. As soon as it can immerse itself in water...his enemies miss his tracks because he loses his smell to the currents. SAFETY. We are the Deer...and the Lord is our WATER...we need to realise that like David did!
For as the Deer panteth for the waters, so our souls should pant for God, the only true God. And then our safety will come..for He is our safety!
We need to immerse ourselves in Him just like the Deer immerses himself in water. For the Horse may be prepared against the day of battle...but safety..is of the Lord! Its not of him that willeth...neither is it of him that runneth...but its of God that showeth mercy! No matter how hard the Deer ran..if he did not run towards the water...he would be dead meat!!!!

WORSHIP
Worship is my life, my love, my essence. I was born to worship...if i ever lost myself...i would find myself in worship...if i ever lost my meaning..i would find it in worship...if i ever lost my place...i would find it in worship.
I will worship, i will praise, thats what i was made for. I love to think about Him in the mornings before i have to face anyone else...i love to dream about his wonders and reminensce about his works. I love to imagine how best to worship him. To me, my greatest challenge is to worship Him correctly. I long to bring constant love and smile to his eyes. I love to please his countenance. I love to make him glad he made me. I dont ever want to be a vessel without results! I love to make Heaven stand at attention with the dept of my worship. I want Him to put on me a bit of the secret He carries concerning His creation. I want to carry His yoke and His burden for the lost. I want Him to be confident in my love for Him. I want Him to trust me with the secrets of His heart. I want to bring Him to the Strong City! Infact, i vow to bring Him to the strong city.
I long to dwell in His heart.
